Karrie France

altKarrie France originally from Tucson Arizona was co-director and owner of The France Academy of Dance in Tucson for 22 years.

For 9 years Karrie was a company member of the Southern Arizona Light Opera Company. Some of her stage musicals include “42nd Street” as Lorraine Fleming, “Best Little Whore House in Texas” as Dural, “Gypsy” with Betty Buckley, “On the Light Side” with Earl Wrightson and Lois Hunt, “Singing in the Rain” and “No No Nanette” directed and choreographed by Mr. Fred Kelly.

As a choreographer Karrie worked with Anthony Zerbe on the TV series “The Young Riders”, Jon Voight and Ellen Barkin in the feature film “Desert Bloom.” In addition her choreography talents were featured in industrials, the Miss Tucson Pageant, schools throughout Tucson and at the University of Arizona Drama Department

Karrie enjoyed performing in the 2008 “Open Call” for the McCallum Theater in Palm Desert and at the Arthur Newman Center.

Karrie is pleased to be home again to teach dance and fitness to new students. Her partner in dance, husband Richard France is in Palm Springs California for another season with the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies.
